@Disneylad55 To clarify, the Nike+ Sensor is not required for the Nike+ Running app. But if you're using the Nike+ iPod app, it is required.

@portynax And have you gone to home screen > settings > Nike + iPod > sensor. Please note that only the Nike + iPod App uses the sensor.

@nikesupport Using Nike + iPod app as user "nerdsfrau". Trying it now for three days (new running sensor) and no luck :-( :-(
